By accessing or using Quiz Universe (the "Platform"), registering an account, participating in quizzes or tournaments, or purchasing tokens, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to participate in paid tournaments or make purchases.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the confidentiality of your password and account credentials
- Immediately notify us of any unauthorised access to your account
- Not create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage in quizzes or tournaments
- Not share your account credentials with any other person
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Quiz Universe reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Each quiz or tournament specifies its own attempt limits, duration, and entry requirements. You agree to:
- Attempt quizzes and tournaments only within the specified rules and time limits
- Not use any automated tools, bots, scripts, or third-party software to answer questions
- Not share question content from live tournaments with other participants
- Not seek or receive external assistance during a timed quiz or tournament attempt
Tournament results are final once published by an administrator. The scoring system (score descending, time ascending) and tie-splitting rules are applied consistently and automatically. No manual score adjustments will be made except in cases of verified technical error.
Quiz Universe reserves the right to disqualify participants and void results if cheating or rule violations are detected.
Quiz Universe uses a virtual token system ("Tokens") as platform currency. Tokens can be:
- Purchased using real money via the token purchase flow
- Earned as prizes for strong tournament performance
- Spent on token-entry tournament registrations or premium features
Quiz Universe reserves the right to adjust token prices, modify earn/spend rates, or discontinue the token system with reasonable notice. Unused tokens will not be automatically converted to cash if the token system is discontinued.
Token balances that are inactive for more than 12 consecutive months may expire at our discretion, with prior notification to the account holder.
Cash prizes won in tournaments are credited to your Quiz Universe wallet. The wallet balance can be withdrawn to a verified bank account or UPI ID subject to the following conditions:
- Minimum withdrawal amount applies as specified on the withdrawal page
- You must provide accurate and verified payment details (UPI ID or bank account)
- Withdrawals are processed manually and may take 3–7 working days
- Quiz Universe may request identity verification (KYC) before processing withdrawals above a threshold amount
- Prize credits and withdrawals are subject to applicable Indian tax regulations; you are responsible for any tax liability on prizes received
Quiz Universe reserves the right to withhold prizes if there is evidence of rule violations, fraudulent activity, or disputes regarding the result.
All payments on Quiz Universe are processed through Razorpay. By making a payment, you also agree to Razorpay's terms and conditions.
Refund policy for tournament entry fees:
- Full refund: If a tournament is cancelled by Quiz Universe before it starts, all entry fees will be refunded to the original payment method within 5–7 working days
- Full refund: If you registered but the tournament has not yet started, you may request a refund by contacting support before the tournament's start time
- No refund: Once a tournament has started (i.e., the start time has passed), entry fees are non-refundable regardless of whether you attempted the tournament
- No refund: Token purchases are non-refundable once tokens are credited to your account
Refund requests must be submitted to support@quizuniverse.in with your registered email address and payment reference. We do not accept refund requests via social media or comment sections.
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Attempting to hack, reverse-engineer, or compromise the Platform's security
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access content or submit quiz answers
- Creating fake accounts, purchasing accounts, or transferring accounts to other users
- Manipulating quiz scores or tournament results through any means
- Uploading or sharing offensive, defamatory, or illegal content in comments or profile sections
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users or administrators
- Attempting to manipulate the leaderboard through collusion with other participants
- Using the Platform for any fraudulent, illegal, or unauthorised purpose
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of prizes and wallet balance, and legal action where appropriate.
Each registered user receives a unique referral code. When a new user signs up using your code, you both receive a token bonus as specified on the referral page.
The following rules apply to referrals:
- Referral bonuses are only credited after the new user verifies their email address
- You may not self-refer using a secondary account or temporary email; such referrals will be voided and accounts may be suspended
- You may not advertise your referral code with misleading claims (e.g. promising guaranteed cash) — your code may be deactivated for false advertising
- Quiz Universe reserves the right to modify referral bonus amounts, cap maximum referrals per user, or end the program with reasonable notice
- Referral bonuses already credited will not be reversed unless fraud is detected
Daily login rewards are awarded once per day for opening the platform. Missing a day resets your streak. Bonus tokens awarded for streaks are subject to the same terms as all other tokens.
Quiz Universe allows you to create and publish your own quizzes, post comments on articles and notes, upload a profile picture, write a bio, and submit reports about other users' content. Any content you submit ("User Content") must comply with these rules:
- You must own the rights to the content or have permission to share it
- Content must not be plagiarised from copyrighted sources without attribution
- Content must not be defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or discriminatory
- Content must not contain personal information about other users (phone, address, ID)
- Content must not promote violence, illegal activity, or harmful misinformation
- Content must be relevant to exam preparation — purely promotional or spam content will be removed
By submitting User Content, you grant Quiz Universe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and moderate that content within the Platform. You retain ownership of your User Content.
Quiz Universe reserves the right to remove any User Content that violates these terms without prior notice. Repeat offenders may have their accounts suspended.
You acknowledge that User Content reflects the views of its authors, not Quiz Universe, and we are not liable for User Content created by others.
All original content created by Quiz Universe — including but not limited to quiz questions written by our content team, official study notes, branded graphics, layout, and code — is the property of Quiz Universe and is protected by Indian and international copyright law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any of our content without prior written permission. Sharing individual questions for personal study purposes is permitted; bulk extraction, scraping, republication, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.
The Quiz Universe name, logo, and tagline are trademarks. Use of our branding without permission is not allowed.
Quiz Universe is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. We make reasonable efforts to maintain uptime and accuracy but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free content.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quiz Universe and its operators are not liable for:
- Any loss of data, tokens, wallet balance, or prize opportunities due to technical failures
- Outcomes in government examinations (our content is for practice only)
- Errors or inaccuracies in quiz content, notes, or documents
- Payment failures or delays caused by Razorpay or your bank
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of Quiz Universe shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 90 days prior to the claim.
Quiz Universe reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time if:
- You violate any provision of these Terms & Conditions
- We detect cheating, fraud, or abuse of the Platform
- You provide false information during registration or withdrawal processing
- Your account is inactive for an extended period
Upon termination for rule violations, you forfeit any unclaimed prizes, wallet balance, and token balance without compensation. If you believe your account was terminated in error, contact us at support@quizuniverse.in.
You may delete your own account at any time from account settings. Pending withdrawal requests will be honoured before deletion is finalised.
Your use of Quiz Universe is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify users by email or in-app notification.
Your continued use of Quiz Universe after changes are posted constitutes your agreement to the revised Terms. If you disagree with the new terms, you must stop using the Platform.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to your use of Quiz Universe shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Tamil Nadu, India.
Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at support@quizuniverse.in. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve disputes amicably within 30 days.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable Indian arbitration law.
