What is the “New” TNPSC Group 4 Syllabus Pattern?

In recent recruitment cycles, TNPSC introduced structural changes to the Group 4 exam pattern. The most significant update was the mandatory Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test, which replaced the optional General English paper.

Key Features of the Current Pattern:

Single Paper: The written exam consists of a single paper containing 200 objective-type questions for a total of 300 marks.

Mandatory Tamil Section (Part A): Consists of 100 questions (150 marks) mapped to the SSLC standard. Candidates must score a minimum of 40% (60 marks) in this section to have their General Studies (Part B) paper evaluated.
