The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the official TNPSC Group 4 Notification 2026 for direct recruitment to various posts under the Combined Civil Services Examination – IV (Group IV Services).
As per the latest TNPSC Group 4 Notification No. 11/2026 dated 06.10.2026, a total of

4. TNPSC Group 4 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification is post-specific. It is not correct to state that every Group 4 post requires only 10th Standard qualification.
The notification includes posts requiring SSLC, Higher Secondary, degree, typewriting, shorthand, computer qualifications, driving experience and other technical qualifications.

6. TNPSC Group 4 2026 Salary / Pay Level
The latest notification specifies the Level of Pay for each post. Since the pay level varies by post, candidates should check the individual post before estimating salary.

7. TNPSC Group 4 2026 Application Fee
Examination Fee: ₹100
The examination fee of ₹100 must be paid while submitting the online application unless the candidate is eligible for fee exemption.
Candidates claiming fee concession should carefully select the appropriate option in the application. TNPSC has stated that false claims regarding fee exemption may lead to rejection of candidature and other action.
8. TNPSC Group 4 2026 Selection Process
Written Examination – Single-stage OMR-based written examination.
Onscreen Certificate Verification – Shortlisted candidates must upload supporting certificates.
Physical Certificate Verification – Applicable candidates will undergo certificate verification as prescribed.
Physical Standards / Endurance Test – Applicable to candidates opting for Forest Guard with Driving Licence / Forest Watcher.
Counselling – Eligible candidates are admitted to counselling based on rank, reservation and available vacancies.
Final Selection – Ranking is primarily based on written examination marks, subject to the rules and post-specific selection provisions.
Forest Posts: Candidates opting for Forest Guard with Driving Licence / Forest Watcher must satisfy the prescribed physical standards and endurance requirements in addition to the written examination requirements.
9. TNPSC Group 4 2026 Exam Pattern
The TNPSC Group 4 2026 examination is a single-paper OMR objective examination. There are 200 questions for 300 marks and the duration is 3 hours.

Very Important – Tamil Qualifying Rule:
Candidates must secure at least 60 marks (40%) in Part A.
